• Seasonal Trail Safety Reminder + Kinmount Volunteer Callout

We want to thank everyone from across Ontario who continues to show up and help with trail cleanups. It was so great seeing individual members out, along with members from Niagara Area Jeep Club, Tri City Jeep Club, Barrie Jeep Club, Georgina Jeep Club, Durham 4×4COORJC, and Brantford Area Jeep & Off-road Club helping in the central region throughout the weekend.

As a reminder, the best place to check for trail updates is always the OF4WD Trail Database. However, even cleared trails can change quickly—with so much debris still hung up in trees, wind or storms can bring down fresh obstacles at any time.

One of our member clubs discovered this firsthand last weekend—they had to re-clear sections of a trail already listed as open. It’s likely something we’ll face throughout the season, so please be prepared whenever you go out.

    Trail Safety Reminders:

    • Be prepared for possible new debris
    • Don’t take unnecessary risks
    • Watch for hanging branches and unstable trees
    • Do not create bypasses (trail braiding)
    • If you cannot safely clear something:
      • Turn around
      • Take photos and GPS/what3words location (if possible)
      • Submit a trail report

Help Us at Kinmount – Saturday, May 24th

Our main volunteer focus this weekend is the Kinmount Fairgrounds cleanup.

This is our home base for Newbie Runs and Camp NL, and we want to get it back to top shape for the season. We had a fantastic turnout last time and would love to build on that momentum.

    • No rig required
    • Trailers helpful but not required
    • Lunch provided
    • Teen volunteers welcome (for community hours)
    • Help for a few hours or the whole day—we’ll take it!

    📧 RSVP: of4wdcleanup2025@of4wd.com

    Let’s keep the momentum going!
